Apple HealthKit Integration

If you grant permission on iOS, Amigo reads data from Apple HealthKit — including steps, heart rate, sleep, active energy, weight, and similar metrics — and may write nutrition and water intake entries you log in the app. HealthKit data is used strictly to provide personalized health coaching, progress tracking, and insights inside Amigo.

How We Use Your Information

AI Processing of Your Inputs

Amigo uses large language models and multimodal AI models to provide its core features. Your text messages, voice recordings, and meal photos are sent to AI models to generate coaching responses, nutrition estimates, and health insights. AI processing is performed by the third-party AI providers listed below under strict data processing agreements. AI-generated outputs are estimates and may contain inaccuracies — see our Terms of Service for details.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted infrastructure) and encrypted cloud storage for media. All health and personal data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest using industry-standard encryption. We apply access controls, least-privilege policies, and routine security reviews to protect your information.

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we collect a device token (APNs token on iOS, FCM token on Android) to deliver notifications such as goal reminders and streak updates. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using Amigo, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this policy.
